On 11 September 2026, at the 63rd session of the Human Rights Council (HRC63) in Geneva, Thailand took the lead in initiating a Joint Statement on Trafficking in Persons in the Context of Online Scams, delivered by H.E. Ms. Usana Berananda, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations in Geneva during the Interactive Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of slavery and trafficking in persons.
