On 24 July 2026, the Permanent Mission of Thailand organised a ceremony to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua on 28 July 2026. The ceremony was presided over by H.E Miss Usana Berananda, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations in Geneva. H.E. Mrs. Pimchanok Pitfield, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the World Trade Organization and the World Intellectual Property Organization, was also present as well as officials of the two Permanent Missions.

On 21 July 2026, H.E. Ms. Usana Berananda, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, welcomed Associate Professor Dr. Norraphat Srimanobhas, Lecturer at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, who is currently a researcher at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), together with four Thai university students from Chulalongkorn University and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi participating in the Thailand-CERN Cooperation Programme under the CERN Summer Student Programme.

On 6 July 2026, by H.E. Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, accompanied by H.E. Ms. Usana Berananda, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations Office in Geneva, attended the opening ceremony of the Inaugural Global Dialogue on AI Governance at the Palexpo Convention Centre in Geneva.

On 7 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society of Thailand, delivered a statement at the High-level Governmental Plenary, Harnessing the benefits of AI for all through Inclusive and interoperable approaches, held as part of the Global Dialogue on AI Governance in Geneva.

On 6 July 2026, H.E. Ms. Usana Berananda, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations Office in Geneva, hosted a dinner in honour of H.E. Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, and the Thai delegation on the occasion of their visit to Geneva to participate in the Global Dialogue on AI Governance, the WSIS Forum 2026, and the AI for Good Global Summit.
