On 27 April 2022, H.E. Mrs. Suphatra Srimaitreephithak, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the UN in Geneva, chaired a Glion preparatory Policy Dialogue, on the topic "What does UN recognition of the right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment, mean for different stakeholders? What approaches might be taken at international and national levels following UN recognition?". The event, the third and final of its kind, was hosted by the the Permanent Mission of Thailand, in cooperation with the Universal Rights Group, ahead of the 2022 Glion Human Rights Dialogue (Glion VIII), to be held on 16-17 May 2022 in Chardonne, under the theme "The right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment: what does it mean for States, for rightsholders and for nature?".

More than 40 persons participated in the Dialogue and had open discussion, under Chatham House rule, on how different stakeholders could advance the right to clean, healthy and sustainable environment following the recognition of this right by the Human Rights Council in 2021.
