The Permanent Mission of Thailand to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva presents its compliments to all Permanent Missions and International Organizations in Geneva and has the honour to inform the latter that His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand passed away at Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand, on 13 October 2016 at the age of 89 in the 70^th Year of His Majesty’s Reign. 

The Permanent Mission of Thailand has further the honour to inform all Permanent Missions and International Organizations in Geneva that a book of condolences has been opened for signature at the Permanent Mission of Thailand on Monday - Friday during 10.00 - 13.00 hrs. and 15.00 - 18.00 hrs., starting from 14 October 2016.

The Permanent Mission of Thailand to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva avails itself of this opportunity to renew to all Permanent Missions and International Organizations in Geneva the assurances of its highest consideration.

ตามที่สํานักพระราชวังได้มีประกาศแจ้งว่า พระบาทสมเด็จพระปรมินทรมหาภูมิพล  อดุลยเดช มหิตลาธิเบศรรามาธิบดี จักรีนฤบดินทร สยามินทราธิราช บรมนาถบพิตร เสด็จสวรรคต เมื่อเวลา 15 นาฬิกา 52 นาที ของวันที่ 13 ตุลาคม 2559 สิริพระชนมพรรษาปีที่ 89 ทรงครองราชสมบัติได้ 70 ปี ดังความละเอียดปรากฏตามประกาศสํานักพระราชวังที่แนบมา ณ ที่นี้ คณะผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจําสหประชาชาติ ณ นครเจนีวา และคณะผู้แทนถาวรไทย ประจําองค์การการค้าโลก ได้จัดเตรียมสมุดลงนามถวายอาลัยเพื่อให้พสกนิกรชาวไทยในนครเจนีวาและ  พื้นที่ใกล้เคียงได้ร่วมถวายอาลัย และแสดงความสํานึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณอันล้นพ้นอย่างหาที่สุดมิได้ จึงขอเชิญชาวไทยร่วมลงนามในสมุดถวายอาลัย ณ ที่ทําการคณะผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจําสหประชาชาติฯ เลขที่ 5 Rue Gustave-Moynier, 1202 Geneva ในวันจันทร์ – ศุกร์ ระหว่างเวลา10.00-13.00 น. และ 15.00-18.00 น. โดยเริ่มตั้งแต่วันที่ 14 ตุลาคม 2559
