On 6 July 2026, H.E. Ms. Usana Berananda, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations Office in Geneva, hosted a dinner in honour of H.E. Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, and the Thai delegation on the occasion of their visit to Geneva to participate in the Global Dialogue on AI Governance, the WSIS Forum 2026, and the AI for Good Global Summit.

During the dinner, the Ambassador and the Minister exchanged views on the latest developments in discussions on AI governance across various cooperation frameworks in Geneva, key issues of interest to regional groups, as well as Thailand’s approach on how to strike a balance between harnessing the benefits from the use of AI and addressing challenges that come with the technology.
