On 6 October 2026, Ambassador Pratana Disyatat, Deputy Permanent Representative and Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Thailand to the UN in Geneva, delivered Opening Remarks at the 5th WHO AMR Partners Forum at WHO Headquarters, under the theme “Advancing AMR Action: Aligning Evidence, Technical Support and Country Leadership.”

In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of translating global commitments on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) into sustained national action and measurable progress, supported by evidence-informed decisions, technical support aligned with national priorities, and continued political leadership.

Drawing on Thailand’s Second National Action Plan on AMR 2023–2027 and experience with One Health reporting, she stressed the importance of cooperation across sectors and coordination among partners to strengthen national responses.
She also welcomed preparations for the forthcoming AMR Ministerial Conference in Abuja as an opportunity to sustain political momentum and advance practical cooperation.

As facilitator of the Group of Friends on AMR in Geneva, Thailand reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with WHO, fellow Member States and partners to carry shared AMR commitments forward.

The Forum brings together WHO and partners to review progress and strengthen cooperation on AMR. The 5th Forum included updates on the Global Action Plan on AMR, the Independent Panel on Evidence for Action against AMR (IPEA), and preparations for the 5th AMR Ministerial Conference, to be held in Abuja during 6-8 December 2026.

เมื่อวันที่ 6 ตุลาคม 2569 เอกอัครราชทูตปรารถนา ดิษยทัต รองผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครเจนีวา และอุปทูต กล่าวถ้อยแถลงเปิดการประชุม WHO AMR Partners Forum ครั้งที่ 5 ณ สำนักงานใหญ่องค์การอนามัยโลก ภายใต้หัวข้อ “Advancing AMR Action: Aligning Evidence, Technical Support and Country Leadership” โดยเน้นย้ำความสำคัญของการนำพันธกรณีระดับโลกในการแก้ไขปัญหาการดื้อยาต้านจุลชีพ (AMR) ไปสู่การปฏิบัติระดับประเทศอย่างต่อเนื่องและมีผลสัมฤทธิ์ที่วัดได้ โดยย้ำถึงความสำคัญของการใช้หลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ประกอบการตัดสินใจ การสนับสนุนทางเทคนิคที่สอดคล้องกับลำดับความสำคัญของประเทศ ตลอดจนการสานต่อความมุ่งมั่นและ political leadership

นอกจากนี้ ได้กล่าวถึงแผนปฏิบัติการด้านการดื้อยาต้านจุลชีพแห่งชาติ ฉบับที่ 2 พ.ศ. 2566–2570 และประสบการณ์ของไทยด้าน One Health reporting พร้อมเน้นย้ำความสำคัญของความร่วมมือระหว่างภาคส่วนและการประสานงานระหว่างภาคีเพื่อเสริมสร้างการดำเนินงานระดับประเทศ รวมทั้งกล่าวถึงการเตรียมจัดการประชุม AMR Ministerial Conference ณ กรุงอาบูจา ซึ่งเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการสานต่อ political momentum และส่งเสริมความร่วมมือที่เป็นรูปธรรม

ในฐานะ Facilitator ของ Group of Friends on AMR in Geneva ไทยยืนยันความมุ่งมั่นที่จะร่วมมืออย่างใกล้ชิดกับองค์การอนามัยโลก ประเทศสมาชิก และภาคีต่าง ๆ เพื่อขับเคลื่อนพันธกรณีร่วมในการแก้ไขปัญหาการดื้อยาต้านจุลชีพให้เกิดผลในทางปฏิบัติ

WHO AMR Partners Forum เป็นเวทีประชุมภาคีความร่วมมือด้าน AMR ที่จัดโดยองค์การอนามัยโลกเพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนความก้าวหน้าและส่งเสริมความร่วมมือในการขับเคลื่อนการแก้ไขปัญหาการดื้อยาต้านจุลชีพ

โดยการประชุมครั้งที่ 5 มีการรายงานความคืบหน้าเกี่ยวกับแผนปฏิบัติการระดับโลกว่าด้วยการดื้อยาต้านจุลชีพ (Global Action Plan on AMR) และ Independent Panel on Evidence for Action against AMR (IPEA) รวมทั้งการเตรียมจัดการประชุม AMR Ministerial Conference ครั้งที่ 5 ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 6–8 ธันวาคม 2569 ณ กรุงอาบูจา สหพันธ์สาธารณรัฐไนจีเรีย
