Thailand is pleased to congratulate all involved for the completion of the Pandemic Agreement in the early hours of this morning, 16 April 2025.  Thailand has always been at the forefront of the process since we joined the signatory of the Op-ed calling for the Pandemic Agreement and supported the establishment of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB) at the WHASS in November 2021.  Dr. Viroj Tangcharoensathien from Thailand, the Vice-Chair of the Bureau of the INB, remained committed throughout the negotiation process aiming to strengthen global collaboration on prevention, preparedness and response to future pandemic threats.  His dedication reflects Thailand’s commitment to make the world a safer place, strive for equity and leave no one behind.
